Michelle is a fully qualified teacher of the Alexander Technique and a member of the Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique. www.stat.org.uk The Society of Teachers of the Alexander Technique was formed in 1958 and is the largest regulatory body for teachers of the Alexander Technique in the UK.
Michelle completed the three year Alexander Technique Training in 1997. Since then she has been working full time as a teacher at a number of locations in London including the Bloomsbury Alexander Centre in Holborn and the Natural Health Service at Canary Wharf.
In addition to her work in clinics Michelle has provided in house Alexander Technique for Credit Suisse, London Boroughs of Lewisham and Tower Hamlets and the Royal London Hospital.
Before training as an Alexander Teacher, Michelle worked for several years as an Occupational Health Adviser. The focus of this work was advising GP’s on ergonomics and the prevention of Repetitive Strain Injury (RSI). As an Alexander Technique teacher Michelle has developed her interest in this area and has been particularly successful working with clients experiencing work related stress and musculo-skeletal issues where posture is an issue.
